What do you think about Snoke? Do you think he really was killed off and they'll just do a book about him? Or they'll do a he was doing a Luke and wasn't actually there sort of thing?
Well I hope they do something, it's so pointless having this extremely powerful force user that's created something massive to throw it away instantly haha
I've only seen it once so far, need to see it again to see some things better
I just think a big of character as Snoke should probably have more information on him than that
I understand the whole point in the film is so Ren can rise to supreme leader and so that the resistance is literally on it's knees with only a handful of them left. Just seems they did some things in an odd way
> What I knew was that in this film, similar to with the Emperor in the original trilogy, it's just not what this story is about. And the Emperor in the original trilogy, you know nothing about him. Because you don't have to! It's not what it's about. The Emperor is in two [scenes] of the movie, and you know everything that you need to know about him.
> It's the exact same thing in this trilogy. As opposed to the prequels, where you know everything about him because you need to. Because that's the story.”
Ah suppose, just seemed odd to me but I'm expecting too much out of a 2 hour movie I suppose haha
They also seem to push the idea of balance as being light and dark not just light and Ren is still conflicted so I wonder if it'll end with Ren and Rey being being peaceful
Either that or the obvious 1 on 1 fight scene and a resistance party
Do you think Snoke really connected Ren and Rey? He says he does but at the end of the film they have the connection again so it could have been something else
To me it feels like they might do that, they put enough emphasis on it in the first film and they kept repeating it in this one (though to annoy/upset Rey) that it feels like they might do that
Though I'm hoping they're wrong it would be nice to have a none Skywalker Jedi for once
@TheLethalCarrot He disconnected from the force, he literally removed himself from being detectable. No way he's got his lightsaber on him. Probably hidden somewhere
Oh yeah not saying it's on him or he even has it. It could be in his little hut, X-wing or destroyed/lost/somewhere. I was just wondering if it had been seen at all
Someone asking "If we assume bombadil is a maia, why could he handle the ring and not gandalf" Bombadil isn't a maia you've intentionally created a paradox.
I suck at it too, but most of the questions have been able to be answered with "talk to them" and 2 they're entirely opinion based and only really help one person.
@Edlothiad "Split decision?" I'm not sure what you mean. But I haven't seen the latest season yet. xD I typically wait for seasons to be out on Amazon.
@JarkoDubbeldam The memes do not exaggerate with things like "You're so ginger you always told Jon Snow that he knows nothing." That's seriously every other thing she says to him, and that will cut down on a man's self-esteem! D:
I probably shouldn't be talking about Jon Snow with people who've seen the latest season though, so far I've successfully disbelieved all of the spoilers that I've encountered
@Edlothiad I found the Kindle years later but now I know not to start reading ASOIAF again until I'm ready to dedicate at least a weekend to 'em because I won't be able to put 'em down xD
@JarkoDubbeldam Well I started reading them on my lunch breaks at the job I used to work, and it was always really, really hard to leave those lunch breaks xD
I fell asleep quite frequently reading them tbf, as I always do. But reading them while commuting was good, you just put it away and know you'll get back to it
My standards may have been lowered because I read them directly following 50 Shades of Grey (of which I couldn't get all the way through the second book, such an offensively bad portrayal of the BDSM community, in a book that had a reputation for trying to do it justice)
but I remembered being completely captured by the evocative language and captivating description
I recently read a book which, for the first time in a long time, didn’t have me fall asleep while reading, and it was about the construction and mission of mars rovers...
@Edlothiad Don't I know it...midnight rolls around last night and I say, "oh, I'll just play games for another 15 minutes." Then suddenly it was 2:00 and I had to get up for work in 5 hours. :-p
