Perhaps a bit related to the topic of this site:

Q: Where does Lax's Linear Algebra and its Applications fit in the hierarchy of linear algebra texts?

Let's assume a student has had something like Strang -- is Lax a good next step, or is this book hopelessly idiosyncratic?

BTW do you think adding feeds from some other sites (based on tags related to the topic of the site) would be a useful thing for this chatroom? I have made similar suggestion on hsm meta: Feeds for suitable questions from other sites in chat?

@JoelReyesNoche The problem is that only room owners (and there are none) or mods can do this.

Do you think somebody (you, me, someone else) should first make a post on meta to see the opinion of others about this (and maybe collect suggestions of suitable feeds)?

Or does it suffice if the selection of the feeds to be used here will be decided directly here in the chatroom?
