It does tend to be the one that gets a lot of gamers up in arms because it's the one that includes the provisions against circumvention of encryption.

Specifically, the DMCA states that it is both a criminal and civil offense to circumvent any encryption or copy protection mechanism by reverse engineering or hacking it.

@BenBrocka Eh, it's not so much that they're aimed at allowing harmful DRM, as they're aimed at preventing you from circumventing any DRM. In theory if people didn't break the law after the DMCA went into effect, we wouldn't have harmful DRM, because it wouldn't be necessary. Token DRM schemes would be enough, because if nobody is trying to circumvent them, you don't need to make them more intrusive and harmful.

Q: Get public IP via console

Do source engine based games (in my case Portal 2) have a console command to display the public IP steam will use e.g. when inviting someone for coop? Please do not suggest me windows commands like ipconfig or one of the "get my ip" websites; I know very well how to find out my current public IP...
