@cairdcoinheringaahing Try it online!
I need to take the result of the second link [0, 8], and find each element's index in the last link
But absolutely everything I've tried is borked

@DJMcMayhem What do you mean by "each element's index in the last link"?

Link 1 returns a list, and link 2 returns [0, 8]. So I want to find 0's index in the list and 8's index in the list, and return that

@DJMcMayhem Hold on a second, trying something
@DJMcMayhem Ok, I'm not trying to understand your code, but does this work as intended?

@DJMcMayhem ಠ_ಠ What should the output be?

6:41 PM
Hold on a sec, I'm getting to that
It should be [1, 3] I think (jelly is 1 indexed, right?)

@DJMcMayhem Yeah, Jelly should be 1 indexed

You want i not i with dot underneath

@DJMcMayhem should it be [1, 4] by any chance?

I just got that result too
Shoot, it is
I don't know why it just started working

FYI, if you want to get the first link from the main link, you can use Ñ and ñ (next link) as links wrap around

6:44 PM
I know
OK, if Try it online! works, how come Try it online! doesn't?

@DJMcMayhem The second one should have some sort of separator between F and i, but I don't know which one

Oh, ¥ works
I have no clue why
And apparently, I didn't need that µ

Where are you putting ¥?

So its evaluating ḣ1F as a dyad, then the result is piped into iЀ

6:49 PM
It seems like should work in place of ḣ1F

@DJMcMayhem Yeah, it should. That might mess up the chaining though, not sure

Oh it does work, I just need ḢḢ

Well that was a frustrating hour

What was the challenge?

Q: Go away! No-1's Here!

geokavelI was playing around with some numbers and found a sequence that, of course, is on OEIS. It is A005823: Numbers whose ternary expansion contains no 1's. It goes: a(2n) = 3*a(n)+2 a(2n+1) = 3*a(n+1) a(1) = 0 a = 0,2,6,8,18,20,24,26,54.... I wrote a CJam program that generates...

15 bytes shorter than pyth is not too shabby

@DJMcMayhem Do you normally explain your Jelly answers?

New proposed Jelly Motto: Copy and Paste and Pray it works
7
@cairdcoinheringaahing Yeah, but I like to make sure it's mostly golfed before I explain it so that I don't have to update the explanation too

Lol, I'm basically stealing quicks from Jelly to use in Deorst v2, but with different characters

I can write up an explanation if you like

@DJMcMayhem Not if you don't want to

7:06 PM
@cairdcoinheringaahing Explanation posted

@DJMcMayhem +1 for "I'm not sure why this is needed"

7:24 PM
hi
what's with all the single stars

@totallyhuman It's JHT, so not many people star things

@DJMcMayhem Not anymore.
I have answered it, haha. Now you're only 8 bytes away... looks around as that wouldn't be much

7:41 PM
@cairdcoinheringaahing yes but why are they starred at all? :P

@totallyhuman That all happened when I was suspended, I have proof of innocence :P

8:02 PM
@Mr.Xcoder Ehh, still 8 bytes ahead :P
