Q: (spoiler) Explain ending to Mallory's Oracle

NeverEndingIt the end of Mallory's Oracle by Carol O'Connell the character of Charles seems to get shot twice in the heart at pointblank range or something and then in the next scene he is in hospital but awake and fine. In there an explanation for this anywhere or is it just a literary miracle?

Been re-reading Blood Stain before the third volume comes out.
Nice way to show characters' confusion. And the second pic is a perfect meme on its own :D

Q: What is the name of the writing style in "Bleak House" by Charles Dickens?

SoumilIn Bleak House by Charles Dickens, the viewpoint frequently changes from Esther Summerson, or first-person, to third person. What is this style known as?

@Hamlet That would require the asker to know where to get the answer from. If they knew, I imagine they wouldn't ask.

^ Was this the right thing to do? (cc @Hamlet since you seem to be around)
