Q: Some site appears to be taking our questions and generating spam Google results

ShaneWhen I searched Google for a recent question I posed here, this came up: When you click it, it redirects you through something called "hidereferrer" to some ad (sometimes pornographic). So it seems that they're taking text from questions here, and then generating BS Google results with that te...

Our goal with SystemModeler is to provide a state-of-the-art environment for modeling, simulation—and analytics—that leverages the Wolfram technology stack and builds on the Modelica standard for systems description (that we helped to develop). SystemModeler is routinely used by the world’s engineering organizations on some of the world’s most complex engineering systems

Does @rcollyer frequent this chat?
someone tell him he's the lucky winner of this SEDE query

6:19 PM
@EmilioPisanty I do come in here on occasion. What exactly is that query measuring?

Oh, I see. You're looking to possibly close out/burninate all the physics careers questions. Incidentally, mine came from the theoretical physics site (while it existed) and was considered on topic there.

@rcollyer ah, that's interesting
and yes, that's precisely what we're looking into

I tend to log on here once or twice a day, so eventually I would have gotten the message. This time, it was a co-worker. :)

@rcollyer ah yes, of course
the other mathematica chat =P

:D
in point of fact, yes, it was through a chat client.

@rcollyer that's even better

6:41 PM
it's turtles all the way down

@rcollyer is there turtle chat all the way down?

@EmilioPisanty it operates a lot like the telephone game, though.

@rcollyer ah, yes, figures

In all honesty, I haven't been an active member of physics.se for a long time, and wasn't particularly active on theory.phys, either. So, whatever you guys decide, I'm fine with.

@rcollyer cool
