I just read the news that Microsoft stopped the development of MS Paint. I thought that this already happened somewhen in the 90ies.

they updated it a few years ago surprisingly lol

@Wrzlprmft I read it will get replaced by something called Paint 3D
@Wrzlprmft But I guess those types of claims are pretty good for increased media coverage! :-)

@Emilie Nice. Is it something like WordArt?

@Wrzlprmft It didn't give much more details in the article I've read
@Wrzlprmft I can see this from here, Paint 3D now with VR support!

@Emilie BTW, I was being sarcastic. WordArt is this abomination.

@Wrzlprmft I wasn't sure but was hoping you were! lol
@Wrzlprmft Although I'm sure WordArt, in the proper hands, can probably result in some alright stuff
@johnp Take this star lol

@Emilie We should revive our weekly design challenges for this: Create something good using WordArt.

@Wrzlprmft I think i'd give it a shot!

Q: Create frozen screen effect

akinuriIs there a way to create this effect in Photoshop? I could duplicate the same image over and over again, but that's just wrong. There should be an easier way. Edit: Use of Illustrator and MS Paint is also fine.

interesting how they responded so quickly, I would say!

@Wrzlprmft @Emilie

@Ryan Dr. Halo was mine...and barely had enough RAM to run it! imgur.com/1nZZKfu

@Emilie hmm dont recall that one. Before MS Paint it was all about KidPix and that awesome random color dot brush
installed via giant floppy discs
