@Memor-X The copy of Spice and Wolf I received from ebay is unnumbered as far as I have examined it, so it seems as if the second batch both came and went without you noticing it.

Also, the manga style cover art is included in the interior pages pages (along with what I presume is all the rest), as you anticipated, so overall I am quite pleased with this. I think it would be unfortunate if Yen Press was to stop selling these, especially given that the exterior hardcover is more of the sort that I think would avoid the sort of prejudices Yen Press was anticipating when they made that other cover.

I'm also surprised to see that the book is only about 1000 pages long, given that it contains 17 volumes worth of books. However, with that having been said, it nevertheless manages to be around the size of an unabridged dictionaries (which are usually over 3000 pages long), which is probably because the paper is thicker.
