once of my dogs rolled in some dead thing right in front of me once,.. I never wanted to touch that dog again XD
in fact, I think that was one of the major influences to me coming around to liking cats more, they still have their issues, but at least they don't roll in as many dead things as they can find
@Papayaman1000 I mean, it makes it a lot better if you just take a cold one, it can even be soothing as long as the sunburn isn't like, the worst degree you can get
@Papayaman1000 ah ok, I see, you mean specifically hot showers XD
Koryo-saram (Cyrillic: Корё сарам, Hangul: 고려사람) is the name which ethnic Koreans in the post-Soviet states use to refer to themselves. The term is composed of two constituents: "Koryo", which is one of the names of Korea, and "saram", which means "person". Approximately 500,000 ethnic Koreans reside in the former Soviet Union, primarily in the now-independent states of Central Asia. There are also large Korean communities in southern Russia (around Volgograd), the Caucasus, and southern Ukraine. These communities can be traced back to the Koreans who were living in the Russian Far East during...
Essentially, they moved north from Korea into Russia when Japan was doing the whole "let's be an empire" thing, the Soviets moved them to Central Asia to teach the locals how to grow better rice, and then the Big Politics Mess-up happened
@Ben only to the extent that you think your recognition of someone isn't a decent metric of how you perceive them to have contributed to the site in valuable ways?
1. No, PCs cannot use Mob Tactics (mechanics) in Numenera 2. When trying to amass massive quantities of resources in Minecraft, *do not leave the game unattended* 3. I am actually concerned about the well-being of at least 2 people in my life.
Hey all just trying to make sure I understand Multiclassing spells. I started a Cleric and rolled really amazing stats again (4d6 reroll 1 drop 1 method) so I can already multiclass. I'd like to do Cleric 1 / Warlock 1. That way I have the Cure Wounds the group needs but can have a bit more fun as well. Reading this rpg.stackexchange.com/questions/45750/…
So Cure Wounds would reset on Long Rest but any Warlock spell would reset on short rest?
> If you have both the spellcasting class feature and the pact magic class feature from the warlock class, you can use the spell slots you gain from the Pact Magic feature to cast spells you know or have prepared from classes with the Spellcasting class feature [and vice versa]

@Ryan You gain them separately. When you first get to Warlock 1, you get an additional 2 spells known and 2 cantrips on top of what you already have as a Cleric 1
Say, you had +3 Wisdom. Then you'd have a total of 4 (from cleric) + 2 (from Warlock) = 6 spells known
Me: "A flat-faced crusher smashes you to bits. Roll up a new character." Player: "How much damage does it deal?" Me: "128d100." Player: [excessive amounts of rolling, TI-83-jutsu] Me: "Just accept the chunky salsa rule dude"
@daze413 oh i plan to pretty much go all Warlock the rest of the way. I didn't really want to play Cleric but half our party dropped so we had 2 monks and a barbarian (I was one of the monks and volunteered to roll a cleric real quick)
I think Trickster Cleric with Archfey makes sense from a story line
@Chemus "I'd like to thank all of you during this time of transition, during this time of discovery. I now will fulfill the promises I made to you during this election: (1) I will buy 2 gross of whiteboard markers and put them in the supply closet. (2) I will resign."
Actually, wrong notes. That's my speech in case I'm ever appointed head of my department.
@Miniman hmm? what do you mean? Cleric has 2 Slots at level 1 and Warlock has 1 slot at level 1. Wouldn't that mean I can cast 1 spell as Pact Magic and 2 spells as uh... Cleric Magic (whatever its called)
@Ryan Exactly! You were saying you were going to cast everything as Pact Magic, so I figured I'd better make sure you didn't think you could count your Cleric slots as Pact Magic or anything like that.
@Miniman I'm just clarifying this: You have two classes that use different magic. (i.e. Cleric and Pact Magic). Each class has different spells. Can you cast all of those spells using one practice, or are they distinct to their own practice? (Apologies if this was already discussed... I have been sidetracked so I lost where the conversation went)
@Shalvenay dealing with the blowback of our regular place closing, we're going back to playing in dusty basements. Maybe this saturday we can get to play again
@daze413 I saw someone do that once--it was a group who'd had a GM for a while who moved, so they were "looking for GM" and I had some time to spare. We sat down to make characters and they described that scheme to which I literally laughed in their faces.
For a table I'm running, I don't care as long as all the players are using the same scheme. Could be rolling, point-buy with any budget, heck "name your stats" works for me.
Speaking of all this dice rolling, I can't remember the system (old and dead... like latin if I remember correctly), there was a weapon that did 12d1+12 damage
Wouldn't build a sharpshooter with those stats (most likely). But I'm not allowed to roll in AL, so I'll play with what they give me... And solo an ancient dragon while I'm at it =)
He was a quarterling (halfling with permanent reduce person) whose attacks forced multiple Fort saves for everything from unconsciousness to Con damage to instant death.
He just had to deal 1 point of damage to trigger the effects.
What's the word for profiling... not when you're judging people, but when you're creating PCs? Like you tend to add the same features to all of your characters?
I just got a comment "Please name the system" which was then deleted... I didn't catch which question it was on... but someone did ask that on my numenera question yesterday... and my latest question is to try and identify the system that something belongs to!
@Ben Yep, just this morning a question with the system in both tag and title got the same comment. I suspect it has more to do with "Hey, this is missing a [dnd-Xe] tag!"
@Ben To be charitable, perhaps the commenter was just honestly confused: the question sorta presents like a content-id question, though you do stateproduct-id.
@Ben It's not so much hate for ID questions, and hate for the kinds of ID questions that mostly got asked before the ban. “Guess what number I'm thinking of” kinds of things.
While viewing the image gallery Video game logic, one image in particular I thought was funny but I have no idea what game it is from:
What game is this here that requires a lockpick skill of 100 on a door that any normal person could simply reach over and use the doorknob from the other side?
