well, I doubt that can really be shown (last I heard, the answer from research on the subject was "no"), but, well, it's not like you need to find all people you'd be happy with. (Well, actually, I don't know how robot dating works)

How robot dating works? We go to the "Bodyworlds" exhibition (the dead plastinated bodies one) and marvel at the elegance of the engineering solutions within humans. (A real example).

They calculate the enemy based on the Answers you'll accept from the other people AND how important it is to you. If its not important and the answers don't match then it doesnt matter. if you choose the mandatory important option for a question and the answers dont match, then you are gonna have enemy points added

in the series, there are robots called replicators

that can reproduce asexuality

They convert the metal around them into material that can be reconstructed into more replicators

hence the name

@rumtscho oh it was bubbling and quite active and alive on sunday

I think i was supposeto pour out the alcohol and then feed it again

instead I mixed the alcohol back into together and fed it

@Jay maybe it was active producing suicidal amounts of alcohol?

and it stopped bubbling/rising afterwards

@ElendilTheTall I'd feed it a few more times, and see if you can get the correct bacteria to grow. I had that happen to one of my starters (back when I had one...), and it recovered.

well, I've just fed it after taking out of the fridge, we'll see if it bounces back

A little should actually help with getting rid of the wrong bacteria, if you're getting a lot, you probably need to feed more often

There is about a cup of alcohol in my starter lol. i cant decide whether or not to experiment/drink it just for fun

@Jay I've read a lot of descriptions of sourdough starters and never once read that it has to be poured off.

If getting a starter right is so hard, why don't you people start 3-4 batches at once and see which lives?

Always the wording is "You can mix it back in or pour it off if you find it objectionable"

@ElendilTheTall its generally fine to leave in if you're regularly using your starter. But if its been on overdrive and you're not using it and it builds up A LOT, it can damage

@rumtscho I have a coworker that is a local judge for home brewed and micro brewery beers. I know little about beer but apparently there is no shortage of good beers- they just aren't the big, national brands.

@ElendilTheTall yes, though you may need to take it through a couple of feedings after that before it has plenty of leavening power. You can still bake with it before that—it'll just need you to either wait a long time (and you might get very sour bread) or add some commercial yeast

@Sobachatina I've heard that too, but a) that's why I limited it to "your local supermarket), b) I don't know how high the chance is that jay has tasted these instead of the big brands, and 3) national pride often wins in such situation where a more impartial person will notice that the product in question is nothing special.

mine generally does, a bit looser and more rye like, but generally like that

@Jay seriously, is there no other way to get home tonight? No co-worker who would take you, or public transportation, even if it needs three times as long? I wouldn't trust myself to drive 30 miles after 36 hours no sleep.

I used to drink bears, but the claws were just really hard to down and the dang bears just didn't like it

Hmmm thats what mine loooked like on the top but then on the bottom layer was my hooch. and i mxed it all together and got a weird goopy mixture and thats when it all went downhill

@ElendilTheTall I won't stand up for most American cars as I prefer Hondas- but that 54 mile average could only make sense if you include vast interstate roads where people don't regularly drive.

Last time I went without sleep and went home (3 km on a bike), I had 3-4 near misses on the road (I am talking about a city with bicycle lanes all the way and real bicycle culture, generally no problem at all)

discarding is an important part of the care

well, at least unless you want an ever-growing starter

(once your starter is ready, of course, the discarded half isn't discarded, its used for baking instead)

at this point i almost sound racist but I seriously do not want to date a black man and I dont get messages from anybody but people of that demographic... let me count how many consecutive messages Ive gotten from a black man

I want to rig up a simple intercom - a mic mounted on the dash or somewhere with a little speaker in the back so she can hear

I think you can get pretty cheap line-level mics, or alternatively you could use a mic preamp.
