By the way, K_K, my weird takeoff on Litorally Speaking is meant as a compliment. Your poem sent me to YouTube to find a very sweet song that i was reminded of.
I do like the imagery but suspect that the nautical theme might be a crafty diversion.

Honestly, @humn....
When I was creating this puzzle (and I said as much to my wife) my idea would make for a lot of very good poems, but it was difficult for a puzzle. I added wordplay because some of the ideas are a bit of a stretch.
