Straw poll: who here thinks chat flags are effective for their intended purpose?
 
For seeing which two or more chatters are bickering or flaming each other on, yes, if you see it within that first 10 seconds before someone else dismisses the flag showing the exit wound of a sawn-off shotgun
 
I see someone's having fun with flags.

Oh, sorry, polling... uh... they are sometimes effective, but most I see are not worth validating, if looked at in context.
