yep, that was the problem!

Okay, it's unclogged now and should remain that way for some time.

The major problem is the sticks.

Someone should make a waste disposal system whereby you flick a switch and sticks get tossed into lava until you flick the switch back.

And for the other items too

They're not as problematic because the multiple chests aren't full.

For sticks, they were full all the way up to the hoppers.

They might eventually, but I guess not now

Well, essentially, you'll have a problem with sticks before you have a problem with anything else.
