It scares me that my answer is so highly upvoted on the 2 man landing on the moon question...

@PearsonArtPhoto a question that helps one visualize what it was like to be there, accessible and personal. bound to be popular, first decent answer bound to also be popular. and synergy with the fingernail question driving traffic.
i'm totally okay with it, but then i like those questions and the crowd they bring in. james jenkins is a populist genius

I'm okay with it bringing in crowds, however, I've done a lot better answers that had fewer upvotes...

NASA astronaut Scott Kelly, recently past the halfway mark of his one-year mission to the International Space Station, photographed the Nile River during a nighttime flyover on Sept. 22, 2015. Kelly (@StationCDRKelly) wrote, "Day 179. The #Nile at night is a beautiful sight for these sore eyes. Good night from @space_station! #YearInSpace."

yes, this is the dark side of the point system. formula: popular question, first answer, passable quality = lots of votes.

@PearsonArtPhoto It had 4k views. Less than 1% thought it worthwhile to upvote. It got lots and lots of views for some reason only the magicians at Google can explain. Probably timing and choice of words. Did you mention "Andy Weir" and "The Martian"?

LOL, could be.
Remember, many won't have an account, so...

Oops, did I just mention Andy Weir and The Martian???
Oops again!
