Hmm. . . @Dam I suggest you put me in the job of providing word of the days.
Dunno if it's helpful to you, but
Word of the day: Ostracize
I hereby declare you (among others) be in charge of words of the day.
YESSSSS...
BTW how's today's word of the day?
Did you know it?
An interesting word.
It has an interesting history behind it.
No. I'm more familiar with simpler words, like shun.
22:22
That's so simple.
Um, what was the word of the day last time?
Or steer clear of.
I think maybe it was snailboat's.
(in another room)
Rapscallion.
Oh, was that a word of the day, too?
What was the meaning? A mischievous person?
Yes. rap-SCALE-lian

Hehehehe! Even with a bunch of deleted comments, this is funny:

Before you say the language doesn't overflow in that message, see
> if it's just gonna make you : gonna is not word I'm familiar with. Please explain - I thought this was an English language site.... – Vector Jul 22 '14 at 6:54
Oh, I think those downvotes will be rolled back.
Wait, 2014?
Wait. . . How did I end up in meta.workplace.SE? O.o
@Dam I find this very interesting; there's always one problematic user in per site metas, where a lot of their questions are among the most downvoted ones.
In chem.SE, it was ADG.
In workplace.SE, it was that Vector/Victor/whatever.
I wonder who it is in ELL.
Well, let's don't care much about the votes.
But on the whole, they do reflect a problematic user's existence.
Let's say that there is a user who's got more than a fair share of downvotes, and yet they keep on using the site. What should we make of it?
22:30
They're gonna cause trouble at some time in the future.
If they were whining about their downvotes on meta.
Yep. @Dam that user in question, with a rep of 1700-something, has suggested only 6 edits.
That seems like flaring up to me.
Suggested 6 edits?
Yes.
Wonder how I got that info?
Let me be dramatic and say
> I have my resources.
I'm not sure I follow.
Which part?
BTW, let's talk about this in another room.
22:36
OK.

Q: Two directions of "Identify"

meatieI have a question about the usage of the verb "identify". Could "identify" be used in two directions like the following: John Doe was identified as the intruder of the meeting. The intruder of meeting was identified as John Doe. ?

This is an interesting question, unlike what I thought at the first glance.
It looks a bit too familiar. I think StoneyB had answered a similar question once.
It seems though, the two versions are common in very different contexts.
nods
Oh, I thought it was about identify vs. identify with.
23:35
@M.A.Ramezani Come to think of it, it's a good word. Next request: a word for avoiding or excluding someone who is harmful to you or bullying you or harassing you. But I doubt if there is such a word.
@DamkerngT. There's always such a word.
I originally thought of singular-they in that sentence, so it's a bit difficult to fix.
@M.A.Ramezani Interesting...
Another imaginary word that would be nice to know, if existed: the act of toleration, patience, and indifference to unpleasantries.
OK, word search can wait for now, I think I need sleep. 4:16 a.m. Cya @Dam!
23:49
@M.A.Ramezani Sleep tight, and have some bugs bite a little. :P
Yeah I need that.
(For some reason, my room has a handful of mosquitoes!)
