Q: why 1:144 scale for a plastic model

Why a modeler originally choose 1:144 scale to create a plastic model such as GunPla? Why not 1:100 or other number that can easily determine the size of the model from the original size.

cheap phones are outright laggy and slow, and the more expensive ones have some other frustrating problems like spontaneous reboots or shitty displays which is very surprising at their price range
