I'm planning to go through the games in the meta question sometime next week in order to make up a schedule for Game On!. As for this week, should we just do Team Fortress 2 again, or would the group prefer to do something else?

@Wipqozn We should convince Marco to set up Prop Hunt. ;D
Since it's a server mod, clients don't need any changes.
If he wanted to be cheap, he could even use my download mirror for it: files.ocrtf2.com/prophunt

@Powerlord I think that's a good idea
@MarcoCeppi what @Powerlord said

Sure, we can do that

I would like to do something other then vanilla TF2. I'm leery on falling into the same pattern Game On apparently fell into before. From what I understand it is one of the reasons it fell apart.

echo "prophunt = true" >> server.cfg
But can three hours of prophunt be fun?

The pattern being nothing other then vanilla TF2 and Minecraft was played

I'll definitely give it a try

@MarcoCeppi Not quite that easy. You need to install the Prop Hunt plugin and its associated config files and map.
The config files aren't on the mirror I posted as the users never download them.
Oh, also, I find setting ph_propmenu 1 makes it more fun as the RED team can then type /propmenu or !propmenu to change props.
Saves you from getting stuck as the two "dumb" props (the RED Pyro or ghost)

Yeah, I'm reading up on alliedmodforums now.
Will the server be perma prop-hunt or only for the ph_maps?

@MarcoCeppi As I recall, only for ph and arena maps (that have the appropriate config).
One of the zip files also comes with a sample arena_mapcycle.txt (I think) file that you can use as a mapcycle.
I'd have to double-check, but I believe the Prop Hunt mod disables itself if a map is loaded and no prop hunt config exists for that map.
Yes, it does.

nice!
I can pretty much just leave it enabled on the server then
so if people get really pissy about it this weekend we can just cycle back to regular TF2 without rebooting
