Okay. I've got a big wtf this morning.
It seems that this is case sensitive, but it shouldn't be and I can't find anything that says it is.
Dim fso As FileSystemObject
fso.CopyFile "\\Server\Share\Path\to\source.ext" "C:\path\to\destination.ext"
Tells me the file doesn't exist if the name is named "Source.ext"....
15:10
It's possible FSO is case-sensitive. Try native VBA functions, I don't think these are.
FileCopy
I mean, it's okay. I'm just shocked.
And I can't find any docs calling out this behavior. Hell.... I can't find anything on the net calling out this behavior.
interesting

My only experience with referencing files is with HTML, and it's always been case-sensitive, I'm not surprised VBA would be like this too...?
What's weird @Phrancis is that fso.FileExists() isn't case sensitive.
Well that is uncanny.
Morning all
might not be very active over the next 2 weeks.
Just put in my notice this morning
Headed to new adventures
@Chrismas007 Sometimes one needs to just go and move on to new things... Best of luck!

@Chrismas007 Congratulations!
Does anyone know what the hell this OP is talking about?

Q: Is there a way to programatically enable the Microsoft Scripting Runtime when opening a PPT Presentation?

BTBeanI have a PPT using VBA and it requires the Microsoft Scripting Runtime be enabled. I have some customers that are not tech savvy and may not be able to follow the instructions I placed on a banner in the opening slide to enable it. Is there a way to do it programatically when the presentation o...

@RubberDuck Option Compare Text?
@Mat'sMug Oh shit. Maybe.

@Malachi does Option Compare Text work in ?
Thanks @Phrancis and @RubberDuck

@Duga Now I'm on track.

@Mat'sMug My notepad++ counts the word class 214 times here. Will you be implementing 214 Node classes? Are there scenarios where you can reuse the same node class? — Bruno Costa 2 hours ago
I didn't need to know this.... now I'm depressed!

How do you eat an elephant @Mat'sMug?

Actually, a whole bunch of them are going to be InvocationNodes - method/function calls. I don't need a BeepNode...
Why wouldn't you want a BeepNode? LOL
18:11
@RubberDuck Because I'm a lazy ass programmer that doesn't want to implement 200 classes :)

@Duga interesting..
It's still a mess, but it's coming together.

@RubberDuck You feeling that bitter cold front yet?

@Duga Oh, that's pretty awesome!

Yeah. Start using source control. Unfortunately, the DevTools module in that repo is a bit busted right now, and I've not had time to fix it because I'm working on Integrating the VBA Editor with Git. You can watch the Rubberduck repo to get updates on that. — RubberDuck 6 mins ago

@Duga @RubberDuck Not a chat star, a GitHub star!
@Chrismas007 The only one I can think of is @nhgrif, you can probably ping him in The 2nd Monitor (CR's main chatroom)
But AFAIK he doesn't do much
22:31
Oh! Duh!
@Mat'sMug He hates AppleScript. He calls is BananaScript.
That said, the answer posted is good. Why try to program something if the functionality already exists...
