I should go to the employment office and ask for a job. I'm pretty sure they'll tell me they have none for my profile, which is why they never called me in the first place. But I'll never know if I don't go, right?
(technically, I should decide which job I want to do and try to be the best possible choice among people who want that job, but am I the only one thinking that would be madness?)
Is it really due? Or is it just, well, industries making searches because they get statal contributes for doing so, and then employing that guy who asked them by mail three years ago?
@Landir Am I at the employment office? No, I'm not. I'm here talking about that with you guys and the problem is that I like this more than going there.
liking your job is a maslow 2nd or third tier achievement above having a job to have cashflow to have necessities like food
@landir oh I agree but if you're not sure what kind of a job you want or your skillset still needs work getting a job you may not like in the meantime is still better
plus you'll know exactly what to look for to avoid in future jobs if you dont like it
And part of it has been recent difficulties here on the Stack which I don't need to elaborate on. This is a nice place. I hate seeing the...baggage...carried over, especially since it always seems like the other side gets to run off at the mouth whenever they want.
@BESW Sinking to their level or sacrificing a black she-goat at a crossroads under the new moon so that Hecate, the Triple Goddess, will strike down my enemies and grant me a vision of their final wails of sorrow and loss?
@JoshuaAslanSmith I think I need a job I can keep with my qualities. I want money, right, but I also want a stable income of it, that allows me not to worry about my future. My current needs (eating tonight, having a roof over my head) are granted by my family, so I have no real "need" to get a job. I have this idea of needing to put some acorns away, but... it's not enough to worry me on a practical level.
Not how it works with me. It's always been step 1. get job step 2. aaaah finally I can stop searching step 3. we're sorry we're not going to keep you step 4. despair
@zachiel possible suggestion? Move out. The combination of ultimate freedom and ultimate responsibility it both the scariest and most motivating force I have ever felt. (also liberating)
@Landir Usually when Zachiel gets lugubrious, we offer generally supportive sentiments and try not to delve into specifics. He's very good at being in situations a heckuvalot more complicated than Chat People are qualified to deal with.
@waxeagle Information is being requested in Not a bar. I'd be honored if you'd inform us; you don't have to comment on the discussion if you don't wish to. It's just stuff you'd know as a mod.
As maybe the only italian male who couldn't care less about sports, especially soccer: EA sports, your community manager requirements are not viable to me. ç.ç
@JoshuaAslanSmith hitting a Frisbee into a soccer goal with a golf club, flipping backwards. If they had then thrown a football into a basketball hoop they would have all their bases covered.

First, no disrespect meant to our current moderators. C.Ross and Brian are not as active as they once were on the site, but when they are they are still extremely helpful and Mxyzplk is/has doing a lot of the work by himself and should be lauded for the time investment he has made in RPG.SE. That...
