i have just downloaded yet another map,and my command blocks still aren't working for minecraft single player. i have tried using fixing the redstone, looking up things to help me with this,but the command blocks still aren't working. Please help,because this is getting really annoying. Thanks.
@OrigamiRobot yes! Only downside of subs is that you can't really watch them passively (i.e. put them on another monitor and do other shit in the meantime)
I notice for example that all NIS games I much prefer the EN voice acting (Disgaea 2 aside). Part because it's more pleasing to my ears, part because ultimately I'm also more familiar to it.
@GraceNote I think people are biased because lots of dubs are cheap, they're not inherently bad, though there are some inherent, but fixable, issues with delivering intent
@BenBrocka There was a time when the dub talent was rather mediocre. It's been greatly improved since then, though. But not everywhere. For example, Chaos Wars is something one should never listen to the dub.
I have been playing a lot of Blitzball since buying the new Remastered version and some of my characters are getting around upper 30's for levels...With this being said what is the max level in blitzball, if there is one?

People read it all sorts of stupid ways. They thought it dealt 3 to the creature and 5 to the player. Sometimes they thought it dealt 5 to the creature unless the other player "had" Blazing Salvo.
I never had trouble, but I got into a lot of arguments with other people who couldn't wrap their head around it.
@GraceNote It seems to be a somewhat common thing to make characters awkwardly punctuate sentences with random crap. Presumably there's some reason it's common in localizations. BELIEVE IT
@BenBrocka Well, it makes a bit more sense, again, in Japanese where some of these are actually common. For example, Yukimaru's lines all end in "degozaru", which is very, very commonly used for ancient times-y folk, especially samurai and ninja, it's a way to distinguish that these people are in fact that.
@Powerlord I think it was just that you had to use their compiler or something, which meant that a lot of people made stuff that compiled language to Objective-C
If you're familiar with him, Kenshin in Rurouni Kenshin also used the same speech pattern, when he was not in Battousai mode. They localized it as him saying things like "That it is", which flows a lot more naturally in the English language.
It's like the whole manner of honorifics in Japanese - we don't have them in English. It downright sounds awkward when people stick with them in a non-ironic fashion.
@GraceNote Not really sure it should be kept in localization though. Sorta like Persona's "senpai" it's pretty weird alongside the rest of the...well, properly localized text
@OrigamiRobot true, but only after you understand what the card does, before you're just looking for what's likely to be there. thinking r hard. people r lazy.
We have misters and misses, yes. And that's where we use our honorifics. But there's a whole host of them in Japanese for a lot of different levels of familiarity, age, and other factors. In many ways, a lot of it is closer to nicknames.
(Which is another place that I've seen localizations do things better is when they in fact make it into a nickname instead of just tacking on the honorific).
@GraceNote and english honorifics are (fortunately) very rarely socially appropriate. If it's not a military or super upper class setting they stick out massively
@OrigamiRobot I really wish it didn't specify "him or her", and just used "him", so that during tournaments you'd get that person arguing that female players can't actually have the damage be dealt to them since they're not male, and therefore "him" can't apply to them.
@Powerlord Except your opponent knows whether he can deal with it right away or not and can make an informed decision about what to do. Giving your opponent any kind of choice is a huge downside so the power level of the card is high in either case to make up for it. It seems fine to me (especially at rare).
How come some people seem to have dogs always, is there a time where it is automatically there? Maybe at a certain level or is it always a Kill streak?

@StrixVaria Being forced to either let the opponent have a 4/3 creature during the first turn or take 1/5 of your starting life in damage is the very essence of overpowered.
@Powerlord I really don't agree. Every card in a deck should be putting your opponent in a worse position, you're not likely to get more than 2 in a single game even as a 4-of, and it's not hard to deal with later in the game.
@StrixVaria On turn 1, you probably want to keep the creature, so your opponent is going to take the damage. If they don't it's because they know they can deal with the creature before it does too much damage.
@GnomeSlice It really is. I finished it over the weekend, still tons of gun parts to collect though. My fav guns so far are a cat that holds a shotgun and a magnum that shoots homing missiles, both modified to shoot 3 point bursts
On a piloted ship, damaging (orange color, not red) the piloting section of a ship cancels the ship's ability to dodge without a pilot (or reduces it, if it was level 3 piloting) but makes less of a difference if it is manned. The difference that remains is the pilot is forced to repair instead ...
It's fantastic. Some balance issues with the combat system (it's hard to make a beat 'em up with levels/stats that doesn't have that) but it's a fantastic game. Even if only for Paul Robertson's pixels and Anamanaguchi's tunes

I understand that player stats are boosted, but if you go in with a level 10 weapon does it still do only 20 damage, or does it get boosted as well?
