Anyway I found a bug that lets me get over 10k chat rep with association bonuses alone. That's the main reason the account exists. I'm trying to figure out if I can see chat flags with it. So far nothing but I haven't seen many on my real account either so I could have just missed them.

Also, I did legitimately get to 200 rep without cross-voting or any other illegal stuff. I checked and so long as the 2 accounts don't interact in any tangible way (they haven't) then it's not violating any rules.

@LoganM Just flag one on your regular account, watch if it's there on the dupe account

I'll clear the flag afterwards.

@MadaraUchiha I'd rather not bug people network-wide for my own experiment. Besides I didn't see that last one on Math so I think probably I just don't see them on that account.

All things considered it's good. I'm just really busy because I just got a bunch of new research projects and I have homework due and grading. It's way better than last year when I had nothing to do.

Still, I probably won't be on as much for the forseeable future. I've also cut back drastically on anime starting next season. I'm going from 30 shows per season to 3.

@LoganM That sounds worthy of anime withdrawal.

@Eric Should be fine. I'll catch up on missed series that I want to watch later. The main thing is that I won't be watching so many mediocre shows.

Close enough Software Engineering. I think it was part to teach functional programming and partly because of Liftweb but as it turns out the documentation for the library is horrible. It has great ideas but it's very hard to use.

What Lift does is it works with "CSS selectors" which well, works quite similarly to regular CSS selectors when doing styling.

(Just an example of the really good concepts in Lift)

This basically does the following, in a page it will find a dom element with class name, replace it's content with "bob" and then find a dom element with class compy and replace it's content with "bob inc." and set it's href attribute to "www.bob.com". Which is a really intuitive way of doing html transformations. And you can easily "print" a list of items by iterating over a container and applying this transformation on the html snippet for each item in the container.

Yes, but the key difference being that unlike say... Django, the templating code is not in the HTML page at all. Which is neat because it means your HTML page will be valid HTML and will properly display in a browser on its own.

Depends how you do your transformation.

This would be the snippet that goes with the above transformation:
