Welcome to Project Update Thursday
Fixed my lawn mower just enough to mow my back yard this time
Probably need something crazy like oil, idk.
i'm submitting my iPhone app for approval as soon as Amazon SES approves my domain to send email :)
this is DIY right? :)
Walls primed, top cabinets have been attached the wall, working on my microwave now. Then I need to place the lower cabinets. I also fixed a bathroom sink (valve was sticky so I pulled the cartridge and lubed it). Looking forward to getting my lower cabinets placed.
very cool @BMitch
how much more time do you think

I'm telling myself I should have appliances reinstalled by the end of the month with the possible exception of the fridge since it depends on the flooring (the fridge is the only thing I have plugged in over in the living room anyway).
My data center support work has finished, so I should have a bit more free time to tackle this. I really need to hurry up and get a sink back in my kitchen. That's the thing I miss the most.
Microwave is up. Progress, slow but steady.

pulling up carpet in the new house and finding some well-preserved hardwood underneath

@JoeShaw Ohh, very nice. All I found was a deteriorating plywood subfloor in mine.
yeah, that's what we have in the kitchen under some awful 70s vinyl floor
I've got concrete slab, no sub floor anywhere
@Jason Ouch, in more ways than one.
Actually, the bedrooms have an asbestos tile subfloor!
Ok, time to close up PUT, but that's not reason for everyone to run away.
Thanks for joining this week's PUT

Quick, everyone run

I found out yesterday that my city has "First Step Meeting" for helping people can permits and such
I'm deciding whether or not I should get a permit for my shed. I found some loopholes that allow me to do it without permits and inspections but not sure which approach I should take
