@BillDubuque Something along these lines exists for SOCVR and is up next for being updated for use in here (and elsewhere). You can get an idea of what it currently looks like in SOCVR from the images and gifs in this message. For reviewing requests, that script has rudimentary abilities to filter on tags.
I am not using those scripts, but probably several other users around here are.
By hovering over a message which contains a link to a post, you can see how many close votes it has and other stuff.
I suppose that the users who have more experience with URRS - that's the name of one of the scripts - would be able to tell you more.
However, I am not sure whether you are able to get also some information on deleted questions.
I should have said Makyen's scripts rather than "Makeyn scripts" - sorry for the typo.
I for one would rather keep things simple. I might get the wrong idea about it, but if I want to see the question status (close votes and other stuff) I might as well take a look if anything is changed to that question. By hovering over a link I can't do that. Anyway thanks for the info.
@TheCount I'm not sure that I can see any reason to undelete that question. The question itself is a long way from meeting the standards of MSE, and the answers are pretty standard (personally, I think that this answer is much better than yours).
I also remember answering a similar question at one point, which can be found here, so even if the question met site standards, it should still be closed as a duplicate.
The question I answered is probably a duplicate, too---it is one of the first questions I answered as a user on this site, so I'll invoke ignorance of best practices as an exculpatory claim.
If you think that your insight is worth saving, why not repost it at the above linked question (or some other nearly identical question).
@XanderHenderson For what it is worth, I can't see the 'better' answer you linked, because I do not have 10k rep. I have posted my little nugget at the 'duplicate' question.
I suppose my irritation is at losing 7 upvotes just because I made a decent answer to a crummy question. My work was fine. But I know we are supposed to pretend we don't care about rep.
Thanks for the clarification. I just asked because some users have had the (not ideal) habit of communicating with mods via deleted chat comments, so at first I thought you actually want to signal to me that you had done something. And I wondered if I was supposed to know what it is or what it might have been. )
Only once I saw the rest it dawned on me it like was a simple typo not an oblique reference.
