@PearsonArtPhoto Somewhere I have read: Starman's orbit will be chaotical between Venus and Mars, and it will hit Mars or Venus in some millions of years. Logic dictates, this is will be the long-term fate also of the JWST
@PearsonArtPhoto What also means, that their collision is extrem unlikely, but their close encounter, roughly in the order of a planetary diameter, is likely.

Q: How do satellite motors keep themselves cool and lubricated?

KRITARTH KARAMBELKARI'm a high-schooler and today we were taught about the car engines and we were told that in order to maintain proper lubrication in order to reduce the heating effect of friction in the pistons using several Engine oils. However these oils need to be replaced every once in a while depending upon ...

@KavinIshwaran In general I think your answer is reasonable. Not perfrect, but definitly not totally wrong as David H suggests. I wonder what he is referring to.
Anyone know if the airlock module, that came up in the Shuttle with Rassvet, was moved over to Nauka?
russianspaceweb.com (Anatloy Zak's awesome site, looks like he is going subscription for all new content, alas). has a list of spacewalks, and the science airlock is not one of them...
Interesting...
He also showed a pic with Prichal docked to Nauka, and no airlock module in place, but the port cover was removed.
CGI showing the Euro Robot Arm (ERA) and airlock mounted.
Rassvet as configured for SHuttle cargo bay, with airlock the cylinder on top.
Side note: Buy his book, it is the best guide to the Russian program I have ever seen.
There is the open docking port for the airlock.

@peterh The odds of Starman hitting Mars are actually pretty slim. Earth, Venus, or Jupiter are the most likely, and there's a decent chance it will fly out of the solar system as well.
JWST will almost certainly someday crash in to Earth I believe.

@geoffc I too wonder what he is referring to, I feel the content I written in the answer has no false information in it. As John Rennie suggests, people can provide constructive criticism, So that it will help others to improve in their own way.
And it will be a great help if you say what my answer is lacking, so that I can learn and build my model for my future posts :)

Q: Is there an explicit principle that edits shall not invalidate existing questions?

Ng PhI have been told by @fyrepenguin, in this discussion, that « edits are not supposed to invalidate existing answers ». Does this rule exist; if yes and where is it explicited and practically how is it enforced?
