@geoffc I don't understand what I'm looking at there at all! What is that big ring? What is a "launch table"? It's got ten segments. Where are the "total of 8 hold down or support clamps/arms"?

Q: What exactly are "launch tables" and "dog bones" in the context of SpaceX's Super heavy-lift launch vehicle?

uhoh@geoffc's Pod Bay comment and link Great aerial photo of launch table with the 'dog bones' being installed. So curious how this will all play out! https://twitter.com/RGVaerialphotos/status/1399766481458565121 links to this @RGVaerialphotos tweet with image: A total of 8 hold down or support c...

Q: What aircraft equipment produced the three recordings of unidentified aerial phenomenon released by the US Pentagon in 2020? What does black signify?

uhohI don't follow these things closely and my question is carefully scoped to ask ONLY about the type of aircraft equipment used and what the various gray levels in the images indicates. In CNN "The Point" Video Barack Obama just said something very interesting about UFOs by Chris Cillizza, there ar...

Q: Geographic center of a continent; is balance point the accepted method? Does weighting each area equally (centroid-finding) produce different result?

uhohThis is not exactly a pure Earth Science question but I'm not sure GIS SE is the right place either. "The Google" suggested I watch CBS Sunday Morning's The debate over the geographical center of North America and I complied. The video explains that Rugby North Dakota (48.37 N, 99.99 W) was deter...

@uhoh They trucked in the segments, put them up on stands, and have been welding them together, adding bits. This ring will be put on top of the 6 angled posts at the launch site when ready. The hold down or support clamps are inside the ring, and the Tweet has images of the ones yet to be istalled on the ground for size/comparison.

This morning, Prosus (PROSY) has announced its intention to acquire Stack Overflow for 1.8 billion dollars. This is tremendously exciting news for our employees, our customers, our community members, and for our shareholders, and I will share a bit more about what it all means.

Well that is interesting. 1.8 billion for Stack Overflow... How long till they kill Stack Exchange do you think?

Q: How do I find out how hot I am? Is there an easy-to-see user's total HNQ (total hotness) counter?

uhohI noticed a that recently it seems that at least one of my questions have gone to the HNQ each week, though they are asked on different sites. But I don't know how to verify this. Is there a "total user hotness" function, something that shows how many of my questions have been HNQ this week or ...

@geoffc Yeah, feels like reason to be worried.

although it does look like Prosus is quite focused on education, and long term investment
so maybe they'll be pro Stack Exchange, and look to improve the SE channels

@kimholder Time will tell. Everyone lies during M&A. You roll with it.
