So if you have at least a choice of two, that's a start.

Yeah, I occasionally change it a few cards at a time when I meet a difficult faction. Then I keep it at that, unless I had to add extreme cards, which is rarely the case.

Even Irradithad isn't set in stone. Sometimes I will throw in another structure or a strike all.

Oh BTW that mission 64... sucks.

It is just that I have never found a deck that is better consistently against a certain faction. Leech spam rarely outperforms counter spam etc.

That's why I like having a few decks handy. I can still attack with the same old stuff, but keep tweaking my defense.

I haven't changed my defense deck in ages, can't remember the last time (when I tried, didn't work). I always use my attack deck for defense.

I just don't have the cards I'd need to make both a good def and a good att deck.

So obviously he's figured it out.

This is when I switch my defense to BT or Imperial.

Sometimes even Xeno, though that one is rather slow.

I used to have worse defense scores when I didn't use this deck. And I suppose your changing strategy might work, but it requires constant attention... and my main deck is built for ultimate flexibility, so there is no deck that is really really strong against it, at least not at our faction's level.

Use as many Hatchets and Vampires as you have, throw in two Asylums, and a Strike All action card as an emergency.

I was told yesterday to buy gold decks. In case that bloodthirsty spam is in the enclave decks, because I don't think I have hatchets and vampires.

No strike alls, one asylum.

Actually I am trying to get that skill connoisseur achievement right now. Already won a dozen battles with a deck that has all of those abilities required for the shock wave card (if my memory serves me well), and yet I can't get that frigging achievement.

In fact, you might actually wish to reduce your deck to just 6-8 cards to ensure that you get the right cards right away.

BT were my favourite enemy, actually. I just used their own weapons against them. I.e., a BT deck.

Irradithad works wonders, too, but you won't have the cards.

Pretty much always. That one is just awesome.

That's why it's unique.

As in, you're not allowed to use more than one in a deck.

It has Strike 2. In combination with Atlas, that's strike 3 every single turn.

So you take 3 points away from the enemy before you actually start attacking.

Every single turn.

Well, for starters, you can always just fight with the same deck.

If you go first ("fight"), you are kind of guaranteed to win. "Surge" is trickier.

Secondly, that deck ain't very strong. Lots of structures, too. So if you want to defend against it, you just pack a lot of surge and some counter.

Duncan as the commander is a good start.

Oh, and of course don't forget strike.
