@MoreAnonymous there have been many detours and paradigm shifts in the history of science. many scientists are only semi aware or unaware of many of them. its very naive to think there arent any active or any more remaining. yes, predicting the future is like wagering. but there are ways to get a (significant) edge even in wagering. ask simons :) ... just saw a new book out on him, amazons recommendation AI just nailed me, gotta get it asap! anyway have been hoping to chat at length about all this...
