@gaazkam I agree with the desire for a reputable reference and I have to apologize that my answer did not include any. The reason for that being is frankly, that I don't know any "reputable experts" whom I could ask for comment, or any relevant academic papers.

I am aware that my answer is badly structured, even if it is the top-voted answer. The reason for that being is that I never expected the question and thus my answer to blow up this hard. What I did is what I do in a lot of my answers: I look at one concrete reason and explain that in as much detail as possible.
