@DA. - yes, but if the bananas are destroying the planet BECAUSE they are yellow, (say, by attracting harmful yellow seeking radiation), that side fact brings on-topic content and is quite unbiased on a site discussing agricultural ecology.
Or rather, not unbiased but on-topic
Again, my rebuttal against that answer being "biased" is that as far as I'm concerned, you can NOT have an answer that is biased the same direction if you flip the "biased" bits 180 degrees around. I accepted your criticism that calling the "teabagger" usage something bad was biased. But then don't complain when I call it something good.

I think I'm lost. What was I complaining about regarding you calling something good?

@DA - The only "bias" in the answer is me (obviosuly, satirically) calling the use of the term "teabagger" good

Sarcastically calling something good is the same as calling it bad, just in an even more exaggerated, editorialized way.
So, anyways, just to tie this all up. I would argue (my opinion) that it's fine to have a POV and share it. You can say "As someone that associates with the Tea Party, I find this a particularly insulting term".
That gives us information AND anecdotal context. But you wrote your entire answer in the tone of something we'd maybe read on littlegreenfootballs. And SE isn't a blog. It's a Q/A site where it seems we should strive to have our answers be relatively neutral and/or, if not neutral, clearly stating the POV we're speaking from.
