hmm. I have a question about indexing a value of lower rank/depth than the values used to index into it (e.g.
4 . 0 1 2
or
""[!0;!0]
). is this just a nonsensical thing to ever want to do?
ngn
@coltim not always:
fd@"string"
,
`p@"kcode"
,
,'[a;b;c]
ktye
@ngn ok, but these are all special cases. for normal array indexing, it's an error, right?
ngn
@ktye right
coltim
@ngn hmm what does
,'[a;b;c]
do? is it the make-list function?
@ktye yeh, I guess I mean is there any use case for this within the scope of normal array indexing
(I know integer scalars were also similarly overloaded in k4)
ktye
6:02 PM
enlist each?
ngn
@coltim uh, bad example, as it doesn't work in ngn/k.. but in the original k5-6
,:
was "make a list"
