We also ask users to send bug reports to [email protected] because that's the group that is in position to fix bugs. Please let me know if we can do anything to improve your experience with the googlegroup.

i definitely like the google group, but posting to it has a higher effort/importance threshold than this chatroom - you're emailing a lot of people with something that may be not well considered

i think both can exist in parallel (leaving aside that this is for general k chat, not just k7)

@AlexanderBelopolsky thanks, i see. indeed that delay i noticed was in the beginning after i joined and my more recent posts did appear to go through immediately

and it's great we all got a chance to interact with the elusive a.w. directly. but still, it's a controlled, privately shared group, a community i don't belong to

it feels awkward to speculate there about less important stuff (e.g. golfing or syntax experiments like my +' vs +:') or politically inconvenient stuff (licensing, hostility to f/oss, optimisation "secrets"). i know any such comment will be met with silence, which makes sense from their business perspective

paradoxically, it feels safer on a forum where everything is public and logged for perpetuity
