Current mods (@AliceD, @Chris, @WYSIWYG): Just to be sure...should I nominate myself even if I can't guarantee more availability than WYSIWYG? (I'm not sure how far WYSIWYG's involvement has actually dropped, but I'm still concerned I can't be as dedicated as I should for this role...)
If you guys give me the go ahead I'll nominate myself
But I'll ask what is preferred: a relatively inexperienced user who appears to be dedicated to giving lots of time vs an experienced user with much more mod-type activity experience who cannot dedicate as much time?
(in other words, am I a better or more preferred candidate than the current nominees if I cannot guarantee significant time dedication -- at least not more than I give now and even possibly less...)
If I had to average, probably 10min/day per week, but it's hard to say. If you look at my rep history, you'll see my involvement here is quite sporadic
weeks will go by where I visit every day many times, and then perhaps a week will go by and I don't really engage the site at all b/c I'm too busy
Things are rarely all that urgent. The thing is, when drama occurs it's nice to have a mod on hand. But you know, this is a voluntary position, you're allowed to have a life.
Also, you can always step down if you feel you're not up for it. Usually, if that happens soon after an election, the runner up will take your place (assuming you win in the first lace, of course).
