Id like to be able to add the separator between 2 changes. Currently it seems to be \n.
e.g. for " | ", 2 changes and 3 characters for the context:
somethi | whatev
I am not taking into account the colors but you can use your imagination.

I see, we hade a misunderstanding. `<arg>` above is not the seperator to be displayed between the changes, but the regular expression defining a "word". You talked about coloured output, which I understood as red for removed characters and green for added characters.
I would like to ask you to refine your question.
And please also make clear which requirement is needed to fulfil your task and which is nice to have.
