A: What was deemed "rude or abusive" at user rs.29's answer that has been deleted by moderator at What are the main arguments made for White Nationalism?

timThe "rude or abusive" flag links to the Code of Conduct. Regarding this specific answer, this section is relevant: No bigotry. We don’t tolerate any language likely to offend or alienate people based on race, gender, sexual orientation, or religion — and those are just a few examples. Whe...

The question specifically asks for "What are the main arguments made for White Nationalism?". Is your position that the Code of Conduct does not permit for mature questions and answers about the topic itself? Stack Exchange itself promotes their LGBT political agenda meta.stackoverflow.com/a/342940; meta.stackoverflow.com/a/297871; politics.meta.stackexchange.com/users/2120/ben-voigt. What say you ask to that? Who cares if the individual is a white supremacist? The entire U.S. Government could be objectively viewed as the predominant white supremacist institution.

tim
@guest271314 Promoting an "LGBT agenda" isn't in violation of the CoC. Promoting white supremacism is. You certainly don't have to promote white supremacism to answer the question.

"Promoting an "LGBT agenda" isn't in violation of the CoC. Promoting white supremacism is." That is malformed reasoning and particularly hypocritical. The answer does not "promote" anything. The answer provides insight into the subject matter and answers the question. The very term "white" could be considered a white supremacist code word. "white" is a political classification. The term was first used in colonial jurisprudence in 1681 in Maryland in response to "White-women" having sexual relations with "negroes" or "Africans". Prior to 1681 there were no "White-women" in colonial law.
"We don’t tolerate any language likely to offend or alienate people based on race, gender, sexual orientation, or religion — and those are just a few examples. When in doubt, just don’t." Does this answer meta.stackoverflow.com/a/297871 and the action of flying the LGBT flag at the Stack Overflow site not alienate people politics.meta.stackexchange.com/users/2120/ben-voigt who are not LGBT? That action and answer did not "just don't" it "just did" and has not been deleted as "rude or abusive" or "offensive"

tim
@guest271314 "Flying the LGBT flag" doesn't alienate people based on sexual orientation, but at most based on political ideology (specifically, it might alienate or offend homophobes; which not all non-LGBT people are).

"Flying the LGBT flag doesn't alienate people based on sexual orientation" What? A flag is a symbolic representation of a political ideology, which SE promoted, at the expense of users who are not exclusively LBGT. Was there no doubt that such an action would be considered "rude or abusive" or "offensive" to people - at the flagship website of SE (most views v other SE sites) purported to be about programming? That is squarely promotion of SE's political beliefs at the expense of users of the site. That answer has still not been deleted. Users are still offended by that action.
Given "We don’t tolerate any language likely to offend or alienate people based on race, gender, sexual orientation, or religion — and those are just a few examples. When in doubt, just don’t." Have you voted to close/delete this question Does “Nation of Islam” still hold black supremacist beliefs? and the answers to the question, which characterizes the Nation of Islam as a "black supremacist" organization?
Again, is your position that the topic of "white supremacy" or "white supremacist" or "black supremacy" "black supremacist" is not possible at Politics SE? If due only to the topic being capable of arousing emotions in users? And that promoting LGBT politics on SE sites is exempt from the code of conduct? In essence, that Stack Exchange network is an LGBT political network? Further, that if users do not adopt and endorse LGBT politics that they are bigoted?

@guest271314 Why would I? And no, that's not my position. This isn't that difficult. Topics themselves are not in violation of the CoC. Promoting racist, sexist, antisemitic, etc ideologies is. Opposing these ideologies is not against the CoC. So "LGBT people deserve equal rights" is OK (it may alienate bigots, but not based on their sexuality but on their political believes), "LGBT people deserve death" isn't OK. "Black lives matter" is OK, "Black lives should be extinguished" isn't. "The NOI supports black supremacism" is OK, "Black people are worth less than white people" isn't.

""The NOI supports black supremacism" is OK" Really? Therein lies one part of the problem. People do not realize that there is no such thing as a "black supremacist" or a "black supremacist" organization. What definition of "black supremacism" or "black supremacist" are you relying on? How do you objectively identify a suspected "black supremacist" and "black supremacism"? Who precisely do alleged "black supremacists" dominate and mistreat?

tim
@guest271314 Nobody, because of the current balance of power; but people can still hold these ideas. But that's not the point; the point is that "The NOI supports black supremacism" isn't against the CoC because it isn't disparaging a group of people based on their race, gender, etc.

""The NOI supports black supremacism" isn't against the CoC because it isn't disparaging a group of people based on their race, gender, etc." Yes, it does. It disparages the Nation of Islam and black people - without any evidence to support such a wild accusation. Though you have revealed several double-standards that you are acting on, which clarifies your hypocritical position, to an appreciable degree.

tim
@guest271314 The NOI isn't a race, and not all black people are in the NOI or support the NOI. It may disparage supporters of the NOI, but not based on their race, but based on their support of the NOI.

There is no such thing as a "black supremacist". The NOI is not a "black supremacist" organization. That is simply madness. Your position in support of such characterizations is reprehensible. Have you asked the NOI if they are a so-called "black supremacist" organization? Or, are you relying on conjecture and misinformation? Supremacist organizations do not hide their politics. They will tell you if they are supremacist if you ask them.
""The NOI supports black supremacism" is OK," How is this (deleted by Politics SE users) question Is U.S. Representative Steve King a white supremacist and a white nationalist? different from this question Does “Nation of Islam” still hold black supremacist beliefs??
"It may disparage supporters of the NOI, but not based on their race, but based on their support of the NOI." Code of Conduct: "It may disparage supporters of the NOI, but not based on their race, but based on their support of the NOI. No bigotry. We don’t tolerate any language likely to offend or alienate people based on race, gender, sexual orientation, or religion — and those are just a few examples. When in doubt, just don’t." There is an obvious double-standard being applied.

@guest271314 I have views on the topic of the NOI and supremacism, but I haven't stated them here, because they are not relevant. What is relevant is that "NOI supports black supremacism" isn't against the CoC. But I feel like I'm repeating myself. And neither of those questions is in violation of the CoC. I think a question about Kings white supremacism is important, but it needs to be asked according to politics.SE on-topic guidelines. I had a question about the issue deleted as well (incorrectly, I think), but yours definitely contains too much statement and not enough question.

"but yours definitely contains too much statement and not enough question." That, like all vote to close/delete reasons, is primarily opinion-based. That is, not based on facts. All of this users' questions and answers cite primary or secondary sources: facts; evidence. How would you edit the question to comport with the prospective emotional responses of users/moderators at Politics SE (since users/moderators appear to not be able to set their emotional responses to questions/answers aside, and frequently apply double-standards based on their own opinions, beliefs, biases and politics)?
@tim What was the basis of your question and the reason(s) cited for deletion?
