Hi

Hello @labbhattacharjee
Would you like to support the Area 51 proposal Math Challenges?
If so, I would appreciate it if you could upvote 5 example questions that haven't reached a score of 10 yet!

Need to learn what is contained in the proposal

Sure
It is a site intended for users to share and answer each other's mathematical challenges
And the important thing is that the asker knows the answer to their challenges

What's wrong with stackexchange?

Do you mean Math Stack Exchange?

yes

Because if we go by the rules, MSE doesn't allow these types of questions as you have to ask things that you genuinely don't know about.

didn't get your point. Please explain

MSE is a Q&A site but this proposed one follows a similar path to Puzzling SE which isn't really Q&A
For example
A question on MSE could be something like 'How to integrate this expression'
whereas a question on the proposed site could be 'Prove that this function has five stationary points' but the asker knows how to do it
I'd be happy to elaborate further if you wish

But should we consider old math contest problems on topic? Say, is it OK to delve dig up a question from the IMO archives and ...

Q: Is it on-topic to simply post a math puzzle as a question?

sir flip the thirdProposal: Math Challenges On Puzzling Stack Exchange, it's considered on-topic to post a puzzle as a question. On almost all other sites, something like that is off-topic and would be downvoted/closed. Will it be considered on-topic to post puzzles and/or math challenges as questions?
