Just wanted to pop in and say how much I approve of this kind of parenting. It does cause the kids a lot of problems with authorities growing up though. Questioning kids are not popular with authoritarian adults, and frankly a lot of adults seek out positions of authority (teachers, Principals, Cops) precisely because they get off on being obeyed. All-in-all though, I think this approach raises better citizens, and that's the important thing.

Kids need to be prepared to make their own religious choices when they are ready to do so, and you don't help them do that by hiding information from them.
