We have enough good members with a reputation more than 300 so why they are not nominating themselves?? I know being a moderator is not an easy task but someone at least needs to step up so that the election can be run successfully.

Some users are interested in sharing their knowledge, but not really moderating the site...
Moderation fatigue is real when they face with 50+ "meh" posts, up to "so bad you start regreting why you enter review queue" posts daily...
(that said, I'm in the middle of organizing on how to answer the mod questionnaire...)
