Q: Why do featured posts from this site not appear on Japanese Stack Overflow?

I just noticed that Meta Stack Exchange posts tagged featured don't appear on the community bulletin on Stack Overflow in Japanese. This doesn't appear to be an issue for any other site I've tested, including all of the other international sites; it seems to be specific to Japanese Stack Overflow...

@aki Is there a discussion on the Japanese SO meta about not linking to Meta.SE featured posts on their sidebar?

Someone pointed me to the relevant post. It seems it was disabled by a site admin back in 2014, back when global featuring was still new. Since it is enabled on all of the other international sites, perhaps a new discussion should be started as to whether to enable it there again?
