one of Evil Hat's employees once even wrote a blog post along the lines of "If you write FATE, I won't want to do business with you"

on account of the fact they'd moved on from that acronym so long ago that anyone contacting them saying "Hey, we'd like to make a FATE game for our setting/thing!" has probably not done their research and is hopping on a popularity bandwagon :)
