@quid I wonder whether you (and other mods) have seen this post: Has Stack Exchange ever permanently kicked out (by the longest possible suspension) a high rep troll?
I am bringing it up mainly because Mathematics is directly mentioned in the post.
If you prefer not to add visibility to that post, feel free to delete my messages (or move them elsewhere).

Judging by the number of linked posts, it seems that there was some discussion after I've seen it. (When I saw it, three answers have been already posted. And I think I saw some close votes at the time.)
