@PandaScientist we have some reaction:
nA ⟶ B + C
So we know there is an equilibrium constant:
K = [B][C]/[A]ⁿ
Or since [B] = [C]:
K = [B]²/[A]ⁿ
Now suppose we start with n moles of A and we get x moles of B, then nx moles of A must have reacted, so the degree of dissociation of A is nx/n = x.
Then [A] = n(1 - x)
