This is a genuine, if mildly macabre and odd, question: If you could be safely teleported to the source of that weird object in Fred's linked piece. Close enough that you could see exactly what it is in full detail. But the price was to have one of your arms painlessly amputated, would you accept? I really hope this doesn't sound like a creepy question, by the way.

Personally, I'd say no. But I can't stand the fact that we can't see these objects.
