Is it against rules to post email addresses and What's App numbers in eBay style answers? I want to edit this until it can be deleted: bitcoin.stackexchange.com/a/70248/75001

I'm trying to find a post where one of the Bitcoin developers described finding a bug in OpenSSL, which affected squaring a specific number on a specific architecture, where the developer described using a testing technique that they developed when they were working on an audio driver. Does anyone have a better memory or better google-fu?
I think it was written by Gregory Maxwell or Pieter Wuille.

@PieterWuille: See Nick's question.
@Willtech It's not forbidden, but editing resets some of the flags and review processes. In such a case please simply flag as spam, that is one that goes through very quickly.

@NickODell: CVE-2014-3570, see openssl.org/news/secadv/20150108.txt
Greg made a longer description of it somewhere, but I can't find it.
reddit.com/r/Bitcoin/comments/2rrxq7/… <- that's probably what you're looking for

Interestingly, Greg mentions that it's through doing something similar to what they did in the Opus codec, but to the best of my memory I was actually not aware of that until he posted this. Doing the biased-random-number testing approach was something I learned from the libgmp codebase, and replicated.
