Usually near the end of each nation story that guy - Dain - comes around, meets you by chance, drops some lore bombs and then goes away without doing nothing at all.
It even became a meme based on the recurring Sailor Moon / Tuxedo Mask scene.

Would not be surprised at all if this time he came, said something "But then Traveler, if the archon really died... why does the Statue still stand?" and then... goes away.

@SPArcheon if I understand corrrctly it's not even just the entity, but the whole concept of an archon was supposedly killed, giving back dragon guy the hydro

I stopped watching after they picked out the non-dissolved people from the sea and it receded

Furthermore, the actual archon technically "talks" to Furina... after she is already dead (see the "Thank you" message)
