Speaking of weird adaptations, netflix just told me about a second live action Fullmetal Alchemist movie. I didn't even know about the first one. I watched the trailers. I'll definitely skip these...

At least based on the trailers they look super faithful to the original, I can recognize most scenes in the newer trailer for instance. Still, it's again a case where some fundamental things are too cartoon-like to work properly in a live action film.
