@AndrasDeak--СлаваУкраїні Hugging Face looks like a mess. Cool way to get samples, but anything there can break anytime without an apparent reason. Just noticed that the img-to-img feature of the other Anything sample broke down too, but the sample wasn't updated in the last 10 days.
So, either a required package update caused a bug ( I suspect they don't lock the required libraries versions so anytime the space get rebuild it takes whatever new version is available) or ... I don't know.
@AndrasDeak--СлаваУкраїні Lum.

@SPArcheon sounds reasonable, unless it's somehow related to resource allocation
@SPArcheon thanks, never heard of her

Urusei Yatsura (うる星やつら) is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Rumiko Takahashi. It was serialized in Shogakukan's Weekly Shōnen Sunday from September 1978 to February 1987. Its 366 individual chapters were published in 34 tankōbon volumes. It tells the story of Ataru Moroboshi, and the alien Lum, who believes she is Ataru's wife after he accidentally proposes to her. The series makes heavy use of Japanese mythology, culture and puns. It was adapted into an anime television series produced by Kitty Films and broadcast on Fuji Television affiliates from October 1981, to March 1986...

@b_jonas see below.
And obviously, 5 minute later...
etc etc etc...

2:28 PM
@SPArcheon yeah, I've googled her, thanks

@AndrasDeak--СлаваУкраїні If you are thinking that that was a fanservice-centered show... oddly you are kinda wrong.
it is a rare instance of a decent enough equilibrium where the actually not so frequent fanservice is at least functional to the current joke, not the opposite
as for Lum frequent clothes, that's probably the only source of constant fanservice.
Has actually a reason -
usual stereotype of an oni wears some sort of tiger pelt loincloth.

3:15 PM
@SPArcheon I didn't assume either way
@SPArcheon huh

should be some park in Okaido.
Anyway, you get the point.
Result:
or the remake version
one of the few "fanservice" characters I don't mind and actually kinda like, similar to Shantae in a sense.
watch the original anime and you may get why.
It gets simply too silly.

6:21 PM
@SPArcheon ha, quite a leap from the traditional representation indeed.
Can you put your finger on why you like her and Shantae? Is it just about being more tasteful in general?

@AndrasDeak--СлаваУкраїні again, first and above anything, compared to other series this one does not make fanservice its only selling point.

@SPArcheon I'm curious but I never have time even to watch the things I follow :)

compare for example to "To Love Ru", which starts from a very similar premise (alien girl get "engaged" to random school guy because of a misunderstanding) but is basically ONLY fanservice
to put in perspective, if in many other anime a beach episode would only mean "swimsuits", here you will end up with them battling a giant watermelon god that they angered and end up spitting seeds at each other.
another pretty famous episode starts with Lum having a toothache... and the you discover it is contagious...
and you actually get better if you can infect 10 other persons.
And from there... it degenerates in a zombie-movie parody.
oh, remembered wrong. The war is actually started by TEN, not Lum.
Lum.. is actually just laughing all the time all the episode...
oh, and btw....
@AndrasDeak--СлаваУкраїні Why do you think that a Japanese anime studio draw Starfire the way she is in the original Teen Titan show?

Huh, having looked at Lum gifs, I just realised that a webcomic I read had a very solid tribute of this in a fight scene
@SPArcheon I can't figure out which version that could've been, but it looks like the original comicbook version looked like she was wearing Borat's mankini, so anything else must be a step up from there
