Oh sure.
The stupid thing of the entire discussion that the user has a point; pro-tempore mods were originally assigned for a beta period intended to be 90 days, give or take 6-8 weeks.
So if there were some bad apples among them, they'd be replaced soon.

Yes. I think I can soften the tone of my MSE answer a bit, but I'll be keeping the context for sure. The first version was fairly neutral; it was only after the complaints about the duplicate that I felt ... compelled ... to expand the answer.
