@NathanTuggy you said that you don't believe HNQ helps, then what is the purpose of Stack Exchange HNQ according to you?

@Pandya I believe it to be a misguided feature, one that does more harm than good.
As such I've upvoted feature requests in the past to disable it or alter its behavior to reduce the negative side effects.
Its intention is to drive more cross traffic, and while some of that (such as @Em) turns into actual useful site users, most of it tends to distort the site's content, especially with dubious votes.
(For that matter, apparently my most recent answer suffered this effect and got much more highly upvoted than it should have been.)

Hi @NathanTuggy, hope you remember me. Good luck for the elections! :-)

@BhargavRao Of course I do :) Thanks for the well wishes!

We do miss you over there...

Yeah, maybe one of these times I'll actually hit 3k on SO and be able to cast a close vote or 5000. ;)

Well, 2k edit privs are great as well, what do you say? :p

@BhargavRao I got a little burned out from all the editing and flagging without ever being able to VtC...
So I stuck to slightly smaller sites where I can make more of a dent ;)

Yeah, I agree. The close vote privilege is almost a must need on SO. Unlike other sites where a <3k flag actually makes a difference, most of them end up aging away on SO.
