PHC winner announced
Argon2 "won". It will be the basis of the actual recommendation, which will be tweaked with the designers and the PHC panel.

Makwa will be endorsed for it's factoring based security and the delegation feature
yescrypt will be endorsed for the features it provides and the "easy" migration from scrypt
Catena will be endorsed for it's framework design and side-channel resistance
Same for Lyra2, but with "elegant sponge construction" instead of "framework design"
All algorithms may be changed before final announcement of the final recommendations. ETA end of Q3 2015

Just reading the intro, it sounds fishy
"Our evaluation shows that our scheme has better encryption and decryption performance than AES 128"
