For rewarding challenges, maybe it's worth asking the challenge author which they would prefer (having settled on what the options are). Maybe a choice from a bounty on an answer by the author, a bounty on the challenge being rewarded, a bounty on another challenge by the author (that they want to draw attention to), a challenge in honour of the author, linking to their challenge to be rewarded, or something else

I like the idea.

If there's a bounty on offer for Overall Best Challenge, I'd love it to be a bounty on the challenge to reward one of the amazing answers

(and to give visibility to the challenge and all the answers)

@Mego I'm not that fussed . I'll happily take Best use of the wrong language for the job. I just didn't want to get stuck with rewarding something that didn't excite/interest me

@H.PWiz Should I add you to Best use of the wrong language for the job instead and move @Mego to Best Explanation?

And then Wheat Wizard would probably award Rookie of the Year - Answers
